Obama’s Racist Preacher

I’ve been following the saga of Obama’s preacher and his racist rants from the pulpit. I’m confused that Obama had no conversations with him about his racial views. None? For 20 years? Come on. I’ll believe that pigs can fly before I’ll buy into that lie.

I don’t know about anyone else, but if I went to a church and didn’t agree with what was preached from the pulpit, I would leave for another church. I wouldn’t stay there for 20 years, be married by that same preacher and let my kids be baptized by him. I wouldn’t let my family or myself be influenced by that filth.

If John McCain or any other Republican or Conservative went to a church (for 20 years) or anyplace else for that matter, where there were racist views preached against blacks (i.e. David Duke, White Supremacists, etc), the pundits on the right AND left would excoriate him. The fact that Obama has received a semi-pass is indicative of the double standard that exists with this issue. We can’t seem to have an honest dialogue without getting PC about everything. Racism works many ways, it’s not just for whites anymore.

A Rebate to Cure My Ills

I recently received a notice from the IRS descibing that I have qualified for a rebate check from the Goverment (which means all of us for all of you who don’t habla). Many people I speak with think this is a great idea and wonder what they are going to spend all the money on. This shows that most people don’t really think very hard.

We are taking money from the producers and giving it to those that the Government deems worthy of the money. These ideas sound great when we are reading the exploits of Robin Hood stealing from the rich to give to the poor, but it’s not such a great story in the real world.

There, maybe if I say it several times it will sink in.

When are we going to face facts with the economy? Maybe some banks need to fail to get the point. Maybe some of these idiots taking bad loans need to go bankrupt to learn a lesson. What happened to personal responsibility? We’ve become the nanny state looking to Big Brother to take care of us and it just seems to be getting worse. Who really has the cahones to stand up and say, we’re not going to take it. Twisted Sister had it right back in the 80’s.

Rush Limbaugh & Voter Fraud?

I sometimes catch news programs on MSNBC. Of course, it’s on accident, but sometimes things catch my eye (no one really watches the network). I was in my hotel lobby tonight and saw a conversation with one of their biased anchors talking about possible voter fraud in Ohio. The commentator was discussing the issue with two ultra liberal guests talking about whether voters in Ohio could be charged with a felony for crossing over and voting for Hillary.

If you don’t understand – join the club. At the time of the Ohio and Texas elections, it was all but settled on the Right side of the aisle. If Hillary stays in the ballgame, then the process gets spread out until the Democratic convention this summer. Rush Limbaugh and other radio commentators encouraged voters to cross over and vote for Hillary to prolong the agony. Now some say that this is outright fraud and they should be charged as such. What???

If you want to cross over and vote for anyone in any election, who frickin’ cares. And really, how is it really “crossing over”. There are more independents in the US than those who identify with any one party – at least that’s what we are told. Could they be charged for not voting in the “independent” primary? Of course not, mainly because there is none.

Bottom line is that this is just done for attention and to keep the idea of disenfranchising the voter in the news. The only thing being disenfranchised is our intelligence.
