Palin Took Out Michael Jackson?

alsharptonWe all know that Al Sharpton has a couple of screws loose, but this one is really out there.  To me this exchange takes the cake.

Evidently Mr. Sharpton has a radio program.  This fact astounded me, but the bigger befuddlement is that people actually listen to this guy.  Rev. Al had a caller that started off praising Michael Jackson and that she loved his music, etc., etc.  So far so good.  The conversation went further to bring up a possible reason that Gov. Palin stepped down from her Governorship in Alaska.  The notion was that she must have “done something” to Michael Jackson and there is a coming scandal.

Not only is this ludicrous, but Rev. Sharpton just let it go as a possibility.  No radio host can totally control the rantings and wild theories of the callers, but in this case ther ewas NO discussion, NO questions, NO probing.  I guess that is what we can expect from our favorite opportunist.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Where in the World is Governor Mark Sanford? – UPDATE: Found in Argentina

mark_sanfordI’ll have to admit that I really wondered why this story garnered national attention.  South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford evidently took off to do some hiking on the Appalachian Trail without telling his family or anyone else.  While that seems strange, and that’s not what I would do in a similar situation, is this really a big deal?  Is the Iran thing getting boring already to all the typical news outlets?

To illustrate my point, here is my favorite ex-ESPN guy (who was actually good in that role – not so much in his current position) Keith Olbermann:

These moon bats are now comparing Gov. Sanford to a loon that needs to be put in the funny farm for observation and “medication time.”.  Is he quirky?  Probably, but is that a shock for a Politician?  Not in my book.

I think the real story here is that Gov. Sanford has been one of those guys mentioned as a possible candidate in 2012 on the GOP ticket.  Coincidence?  I think not.  It seems to this humble blogger that the DNC and their willing accomplices in the Main Stream Media will propagate these stories to tear down credibility.  May I suggest getting your message to a different network than MSNBC – nobody watches that bilge (except to repost on blogs to show folly).

Of course, this is just my opinion.

It seems that Mr. Sanford is like many politicians (Republican AND Democrat alike) that he can’t keep his pants on.  Evidently he had a long time affair with a women he met through email correspondence in Argentina.  Like the dude over at Right Commentarycommented on Twitter – What a moron.  Michelle Malkin wasn’t quite as magnanimous, but to the point.  I second the opinions.

What is with these guys – do they really thing the MSM will give them a pass – especially a Republican governor.  It’s like blood in the water for those sharks.

All I can say that at least this is not happening during the primary – or during the election cycle.  Just think if John Edwards happened to be the Democratic candidate last year.  Boy, that would have been a game changer.  Timing is good for Ensign and Sanford and the right side of the aisle.

Of course, again, this is just my opinion.

As a side note, I really don’t think Letterman has been funny for some time.   It’s good that this is still getting press.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Top 10 List – Willow Palin Rape “Joke”

Palin LettermanI found this Top 10 list on the website for Big Hollywood.  I just had to repost this list  as it captures what many are thinking perfectly.

10. Listen, I didn’t know Willow Palin was 14. She was born in 1995. I thought she was still 13.

9. Why’s everyone so mad? I wasn’t making fun of Barack…?

8. I understand some offense was taken over my remarks last night. If that’s the case, I’d like to offer an apology to A-Rod. Tonight on the show, we have…

7. Careful buddy. You’re criticizing the guy who almost got the “Tonight Show.”

6. I’m a comedian and therefore not responsible for anything I say … ask Jon Stewart.

5. See, you all spoiled it. The plan tonight was to come out and tell a similar joke about Barack Obama’s daughters. But you can forget it now…

4. Everyone just needs to relax. Page, six, paragraph seven of the “Democrat Handbook” clearly states Republican children are fair game. Or is that the “Mainstream Media Handbook” … I get them confused.

3. It’s just been brought to my attention that during the campaign Barack Obama declared Sarah Palin’s children off limits. So, I would just like to say that this will never happen again and I hope the President will accept my apology.

2. Would you believe I was hoping to be Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Person in the World”?

1. If what I said was so wrong, why haven’t feminists complained?

I have noticed that some people have indicated that this was distasteful, including Claire McCaskill (D) from Missouri.  I doubt Obama is on board this that thinking, so maybe ol Dave is swinging in the wind on this one.

Of course, that is just my opinion (and John Nolte).

Letterman Shows His Love for Palin

I haven’t watched the David Letterman show for years.  I honestly don’t think he’s that funny and sometimes is downright mean.  Not really things I strive to watch before I go to bed.  He is like many liberals today that really show their bias regardless of what their audience really thinks.  It’s his show so I suppose he can talk about what he likes.

Gov. Palin showed up on his Top 10 list and was called a slut and indicated that her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriquez during the Yankee game.  Nice.

Here is an audio response from Gov. Palin from the John Ziegler radio show.  All I can say is she is one of the classiest politicians out there.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

I’m Going to Disneyland!

blagoearsWell, it finally happened!  Blago was charged with 19 counts in the April 2 indictment handed down by the US District Court in Illinois.   According to the New York Times(I know, ick), Blago:

“used his chance to fill the Senate seat vacated by Barack Obamaas one more money-making plan in a vast racketeering scheme, federal prosecutors said Thursday, an operation they portrayed as the “Blagojevich Enterprise.”

The rest of the story kind of reads like the all familiar ads from the Walt Disney Company.  If I were writing this ad for Disney it would go something like this:

Announcer: “Hey Rod Blagojevich, the US District Court for Northern Illinois has handed down a 19-count indicment charging you with running a vast racketeering scheme.  What are you going to do now?”

Rod Blagojevich: “I’m going to Disneyland!”

According to news reports, Blago was vacationing near Disneyland in Florida.   This stuff just writes itself!

I’ve actually missed our old Governor and all the goofy things he said on a daily basis late last year.  We can all hope that this will usher in a new era of politics, but for that to happen I believe we would have to sever Chicago from the State of Illinois.   Pipe dream, I know.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Republicans Bail on Jindal

Only some Republicans bailed on Bobby Jindal in regards to the Republican Response to President Obama’s speech to Congress on Tuesday evening. I watched his response. Not sure what they were watching, but the content was incredible. Very positive, uplifting and reasoned. Sure, he can use some work on his delivery – but that can be developed. I guess at least he doesn’t stammer and stutter over his words like our current and former President.

Bottom line, I’m growing very tired of the Republican Party, although my discontent has been brewing for some time. When are we going to start valuing Substance over Style. America elected the biggest style merchant in Barak Obama – All Style, No Substance.

Many Conservative citizens in America are done with the Republican Party. I’m really convinced that they have no clue what the last two elections really meant. I’ll give them a clue: You strayed from your core beliefs and the mostly conservative American public abandoned your liberal light ideas. I don’t expect them to actually listen, but it was worth a try.

Of course, that’s just my opinion.
