I have no other information on this other than this video, but how can this actually go through the courts as valid. 1 Latino person = 6 votes? That would be like me going into an area that includes a population that is mostly black, Hispanic, Asian, etc. and demand that my vote be counted more because I’m a pasty white male.
Oh, I forgot, I’m the oppressor since I’m whitey. My bad.
I always think that it is funny when public officials refuse to answer questions. It happens on both sides, but this time it’s on the left.
Bill O’Reilly had Rep. Anthony Weiner on his show earlier in the week. Bill asked a simple question about the fines that will be levied on taxpayers who refuse to get health insurance. As you will see from the clip below, he just didn’t answer.
What a supreme jerk. Big mean Bill O’Reilly always beats up on the helpless little Rep. Weiner and never let’s him talk. Boo Hoo. I think that Mr. O’Reilly showed great patience with the Congressman during this interview, even though he never did answer the question and actually stretched the truth about who enforces the law and some other details.
In case you were curious, it is the IRS that will be charged with assessing the fines. There’s your answer Bill (and Rep. Weiner.)
A pseudo-controversy erupted this week when a Wal-Mart in Louisiana decided to mark down black Barbies to $3.00, 1/2 of the former price. The race-baiters took the story and cried racism. Sounds more like something called retail economics and inventory control to me – I guess that makes me a racist.
Are you kidding Cafferty? Wal-Mart values white parents rather than black parents? Wal-Mart values green (money) more than anything.
“To prepare for (s)pring inventory, a number of items are marked for clearance, ” spokeswoman Melissa O’Brien said in an e-mail. “… Both are great dolls. The red price sticker indicates that this particular doll was on clearance when the photo was taken, and though both dolls were priced the same to start, one was marked down due to its lower sales to hopefully increase purchase from customers.”
“Pricing like items differently is a part of inventory management in retailing,” O’Brien said.
Marking the price down would make the dolls more accessible to parents. Where is the problem here. I wonder what the cry would have been if the white Barbie was cheaper than the black one? They would sell out the white Barbies, that is what would happen.
Wal-Mart is a business interested in making as much money as possible. If they thought a product would sell at a higher price and increase their margin, they would do it.
I didn’t get to see the Eric Massa interview with Glenn Beck earlier this week, but I wish I had. This was great TV highlighting a complete and utter idiot. I really wish he was still in the House because he is a kook, good fun for all.
You can judge for yourself from this video:
How did this guy get elected in the first place? The only thing I can figure is that he acted like the crazy girlfriend all guys know about. Things are wonderful for a while and you can’t believe no one has grabbed this wonderful looking girl. You seem to have all kinds of things in common and you are having a great time, until… that fateful day when you figure out that she is stone cold bat crazy. (You can tell this if you can see the entire colored part of the eyeball.) By then it is too late as you can’t get rid of her and witness relocation seems like a great idea. Fortunately, I haven’t had to deal with this – but know plenty of guys (and gals) who have.
If I got into a “tickle fight” with any one of my friends I would end up in the ER with various contusions and broken bones – and for good reason. When Arianna Huffington feels sorry for you, things have gone really really bad.
At least no one else has to spend any time with this moron. I think Mr. Beck should be thanked for taking one for the team.
I love this video. It really puts things in perspective with regards to MSNBC and their idea of diversity. Yes, I know, they have non-white analysts and guests, but their anchor lineup looks a little pasty. I’m just sayin’.
Mr. Olbermann has been very critical of the Tea Party Protests wondering where the people of color are at these events. Well, Keith, the gauntlet has been laid down. I can’t wait to see your attendance and coverage at the Dallas event.
If you are not Keith Olbermann and are in the Dallas area, consider attending this event. It will be held on Saturday, February 27 from 12 Noon – 2pm at the Dallas City Hall. They have some great speakers coming including Steven Crowder, Alfonzo Rachel among other great guests.
I don’t always agree with Ed Koch, but I liked his views espoused on Neil Cavuto’s show on Fox News. He was commenting on that the President has refused to call the foiled Christmas day airplane attack as an act of terrorism. No surprise that he is being totally PC and seems to have an aversion to creating any waves with radical muslims.
I found this funny. Anything making fun of Media Matters is funny to me. You be the judge.
The “I’ll leave an anonymous comment on a blog” really typifies the blogosphere. I can’t seem to get the “shave my back” comment out of my mind. Oh the horror.
[in robot tone] I must go now, I have a date with Michelle Malkin. I love her work in Culture of Corruption.
I found this story interesting. It highlights a new hotel owner in Taos, NM. He bought a distressed hotel and decided to run it his way (since it was his money.)
I applaud Larry Whitten. I like the fact that he is not backing down. He explained in the interview that he fires everyone and they have to reapply for their jobs. Also, having someone use an easy to recognize name is common practice in customer service arenas – try and contact a call center and log what name they use. I’ll bet it is something simple.
Evidently CNN’s Rick Sanchez has changed his name to be more accepted by the American audience as illustrated by this clip. Sanchez also agreed with the hotel owner and his policy for those people answering the phone and dealing directly with customers.
The bottom line is that this is Mr. Whitten’s hotel – he paid for it and is responsible for making it profitable. He understands business. If he is successful, more local people will have jobs and that is real job security.
I usually don’t agree with the opinion of Juan Williams. My wife and I call him Whiny Juan because of his proclivity to Whine about issues. Nothing personal on our part, that’s just what we seem to hear.
Mr. Williams was a guest on The O’Reilly Factor last night as the discussion about Rush Limbaugh’s bid to become a minority owner of the Rams fell flat. He debated Warren Ballentine if it was valid to tag Rush as a racist.
1970? That’s a little weak. If that is it, ok, that’s not a great thing but I’m not sure that rises to the level of racism. Bad taste and insensitive, maybe.
I don’t watch Neil Cavuto on a regular basis, but he always seems to cut through the BS and really hit home runs. In the clip below he slams White House Communications Director Anita Dunn on her dislike for Fox News.
Is Fox News really biased outside of the opinion shows? I hardly think so. The fact that more Americans trust this network to give them the real story shows that they are on the right track.
Let’s examine the opinion shows:
Glenn Beck – Somewhat conservative but very independent thinking. He’s no Republican.
Bill O’Reilly – I can’t tell what his leanings are – he really seems independent to be, but I know most lefties will disagree.
Bret Baier– Independent and balanced.
Greta Van Sustren – Independent and balanced.
Sean Hannity – Conservative and very right leaning. Very biased on the right.
Geraldo Rivera – Liberal.
Sheppard Smith – Liberal, very biased on the left.
Where is the vast right wing bias? Even with the opinion shows thrown in, I don’t see the big deal.
According to Barbara Boxer the head of the GOP, Michael Steele, is as harsh in his statements about the President’s Nobel Prize win as the Taliban and Hamas.
From Michael Steele:
“The real question Americans are asking is ‘what has President Obama accomplished?’ It is unfortunate that the President’s star power has outshined tireless advocates who have made real achievements working towards peace and human rights.”
So is she really comparing the GOP to terrorist organizations? Nice. At least the commentators of the liberal MSNBC actually asked her to clarify her position.
The only time I watch The View is when clips like this come up.
The discussion on this particular day was about the extradition of Roman Polanski. If you don’t remember or don’t know, Polanski was an excellent Hollywood director until he drugged and raped a 13-year-old in the late 70’s. He’s been on the run ever since.
I’m not easily offended and I can’t remember the last time I have been offended by something someone has said. I think I’m offended by Ms. Goldberg. I have a daughter and I can tell you that if some adult, let alone some Hollywood scumbag, drugged my 13-year old and had relations with her I would hunt him down and drag his but into the police station. Rape is rape.
When Sherri Shepperd and Joy Bahar look like the smart ones things are off kilter.
