1 Person = 6 Votes?

I don’t know how I missed this one.

I have no other information on this other than this video, but how can this actually go through the courts as valid.  1 Latino person = 6 votes?  That would be like me going into an area that includes a population that is mostly black, Hispanic, Asian, etc. and demand that my vote be counted more because I’m a pasty white male.

Oh, I forgot, I’m the oppressor since I’m whitey.  My bad.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Rep. Weiner is a Weener

I always think that it is funny when public officials refuse to answer questions.  It happens on both sides, but this time it’s on the left.

Bill O’Reilly had Rep. Anthony Weiner on his show earlier in the week.  Bill asked a simple question about the fines that will be levied on taxpayers who refuse to get health insurance.  As you will see from the clip below, he just didn’t answer.

What a supreme jerk.  Big mean Bill O’Reilly always beats up on the helpless little Rep. Weiner and never let’s him talk.  Boo Hoo. I think that Mr. O’Reilly showed great patience with the Congressman during this interview, even though he never did answer the question and actually stretched the truth about who enforces the law and some other details.

In case you were curious, it is the IRS that will be charged with assessing the fines.  There’s your answer Bill (and Rep. Weiner.)

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Massa Is a Kook Deluxe

I didn’t get to see the Eric Massa interview with Glenn Beck earlier this week, but I wish I had.  This was great TV highlighting a complete and utter idiot.  I really wish he was still in the House because he is a kook, good fun for all.

You can judge for yourself from this video:

How did this guy get elected in the first place?  The only thing I can figure is that he acted like the crazy girlfriend all guys know about.  Things are wonderful for a while and you can’t believe no one has grabbed this wonderful looking girl.  You seem to have all kinds of things in common and you are having a great time, until… that fateful day when you figure out that she is stone cold bat crazy. (You can tell this if you can see the entire colored part of the eyeball.)  By then it is too late as you can’t get rid of her and witness relocation seems like a great idea.  Fortunately, I haven’t had to deal with this – but know plenty of guys (and gals) who have.

If I got into a “tickle fight” with any one of my friends I would end up in the ER with various contusions and broken bones – and for good reason.  When Arianna Huffington feels sorry for you, things have gone really really bad.

At least no one else has to spend any time with this moron.  I think Mr. Beck should be thanked for taking one for the team.

Of course, this is just my opinion

Ed Koch: Not Every Muslim Is A Terrorist ‘But There Are Hundreds Of Millions Who Are’

I don’t always agree with Ed Koch, but I liked his views espoused on Neil Cavuto’s show on Fox News.  He was commenting on that the President has refused to call the foiled Christmas day airplane attack as an act of terrorism.  No surprise that he is being totally PC and seems to have an aversion to creating any waves with radical muslims.

Ed tells it like it is:

Exactly.

Red Eye Robot Theatre Features Media Matters

I found this funny.   Anything making fun of Media Matters is funny to me.  You be the judge.

The “I’ll leave an anonymous comment on a blog” really typifies the blogosphere.   I can’t seem to get the “shave my back” comment out of my mind.  Oh the horror.

[in robot tone] I must go now, I have a date with Michelle Malkin.   I love her work in Culture of Corruption.

Juan Williams Defends Rush Limbaugh

I usually don’t agree with the opinion of Juan Williams.  My wife and I call him Whiny Juan because of his proclivity to Whine about issues.  Nothing personal on our part, that’s just what we seem to hear.

Mr. Williams was a guest on The O’Reilly Factor last night as the discussion about Rush Limbaugh’s bid to become a minority owner of the Rams fell flat.  He debated Warren Ballentine if it was valid to tag Rush as a racist.

1970?  That’s a little weak.  If that is it, ok, that’s not a great thing but I’m not sure that rises to the level of racism.  Bad taste and insensitive, maybe.

Of course, that is just my opinion.

Cavuto Slams White House Communications Director

I don’t watch Neil Cavuto on a regular basis, but he always seems to cut through the BS and really hit home runs.  In the clip below he slams White House Communications Director Anita Dunn on her dislike for Fox News.

Is Fox News really biased outside of the opinion shows?  I hardly think so.  The  fact that more Americans trust this network to give them the real story shows that they are on the right track.

Let’s examine the opinion shows:

  • Glenn Beck – Somewhat conservative but very independent thinking.  He’s no Republican.
  • Bill O’Reilly – I can’t tell what his leanings are – he really seems independent to be, but I know most lefties will disagree.
  • Bret Baier– Independent and balanced.
  • Greta Van Sustren – Independent and balanced.
  • Sean Hannity – Conservative and very right leaning.  Very biased on the right.
  • Geraldo Rivera – Liberal.
  • Sheppard Smith – Liberal, very biased on the left.

Where is the vast right wing bias?  Even with the opinion shows thrown in, I don’t see the big deal.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Dick Cheney For President

I wish all politicians had the outlook that Dick Cheney has on most issues.

Chris Wallace interviewing Cheney:

One thing you can’t acuse Cheney of is of not being upfront on his opinions and experiences.  We need people not afraid of speaking their mind, but I doubt we will ever get anyone like that until they are out of office.

Glenn Beck Advertiser Boycott A Potential Gold Mine

beckpointingGlenn Beck has come under excruciating fire for expressing his opinion.  He has been doing this for quite some time on both radio and tv, but the left is just now catching up with him (probably because his ratings are through the roof.)  The video clip below, from Fox and Friends, gives a quick snippet of the “controversy”, but you can watch a longer clip from his show here.

From TV By The Numbers 8-26-09:

Though a little scandal might alienate advertisers, it’s pure ratings gold. Last night Glenn Beck had over 3 million viewers at 5pm, second only to O’Reilly for the night.  But, Beck had more 25-54 viewers than O’Reilly (888K to 876K).  I don’t watch or really even care about the cable news wars, but still…wow. Even though Beck airs before prime time,  when there are fewer people watching TV, he had the most 25-54 viewers in the cable news world for the night.

The most interesting point is that his guest that evening was was Rush Limbaugh so I’m sure that had something to do about the high ratings.  These ratings are of course not long term, just one night, but Becks numbers have been increasing for quite some time.   This is despite a multitude of advertisers dropping their ads from Fox News and an all out assault from the left-wing nuts.

I have always liked Glenn Beck.  He’s a little unhinged, but so am I, so I feel a kindred spirit.  I am unable to catch his show since it comes on at 4pm in the Midwest, but I occasionally catch his radio show.  I personally don’t care what the left pundits say or think about him, it won’t change my thoughts.  Sounds like millions of others don’t care about their opinions either.  Advertising follows numbers and they will trickle back as time goes on.  In this time of economic hardship, businesses can’t afford to be picky with their messenger because of a few activist groups.  The storm will pass and these linguini spined advertisers will come back in droves.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Canadian Doctor on Health Care: Expect Long Lines and Rationing

I just love this piece.  I grabbed it from a great national blogger here in St. Louis, Gateway Pundit.  It really illustrates a great point of view regarding the Canadian Health Care System.  I am well aware that the proponents of some type of government plan will tell me: this is not socialized medicine!  I really don’t know how we can avoid a socialized system down the road if we decide to turn more control over to the government, but the convinced are rarely convinced otherwise.  Even if the current proposal(s) are not a fully government controlled plan like the Canadian’s currently have, it is my opinion that this is the logical conclusion (and what several members of Congress want – single payer system).

I know people from Canada that have had to wait in those lines.  I also know that the good MD’sin Canada often times will leave to practice in the US or other countries because of the vast income disparity and frustration with the bureaucratic system.  From this system the citizens of Canada do not get the best and brightest – they are coming down to our country to participate in our system.  What’s wrong with this picture?

I’m hoping that someone comes up with a better mousetrap before we are hammer of government run health care comes crashing down on us.  We’ll see.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Government Control at Cars.gov

I ran across this video from the Glenn Beck show and originally thought it was just an interesting talk about the “Cash for Clunkers” program and how well it was working.  The discussion took a different twist when Glenn and his guest, Kimberly Guilfoyle, started talking about a privacy statement that appears when a dealer logs into the Cars.gov system.  Here is the statement:

This application provides access to the DoT CARS system. When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. Government. Any or all uses of this system and all files on this system may be monitored, recorded, copied, audited, inspected, and disclosed to authorized CARS, DoT, and law enforcement personnel, as well as authorized officials of other agencies, both domestic and foreign.

How scary is that?  What’s next, a Vulcan Mind Meld when you go to register that same car?

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Health Care Reform – Tea Party for Senator McCaskill

An impromptu Tea Party?  The movement is growing!

The citizens showed up in St. Louis to grill a representative for Senator Claire McCaskill on “health care reform.”  This is an outgrowth of a peaceful protest that occurred at Senator McCaskill’s office regarding her ideas to transform the US health care system.  Her staffers botched the interaction so to make good they set up this forum.  They expected 150 people to show up – they got over 1,000!  What a turnout.

This is a growing trend of the citizenry that actually gained national exposure on Greta Van Susteren’s show on Fox News:

Hopefully this will be a growing trend around the country so we can get some “real” reform without the government sticking it’s nose in the mix.

Of course, this is just my opinion.
