The New Black Panthers: Racism Defined

Back during the 2008 election, there was at least one polling place (and probably a bunch more) where Philadelphia Black Panthers were intimidating potential voters. The DOJ decided to drop the voter corruption case against the New Black Panther Party.  Why? Because they are a black organization (that means no white folks allowed.)  No crime with the membership requirement – the crime is with the voter intimidation.

Here is a great video highlighting Samir Shabazz.  Sorry, I meant to say KING Samir Shabazz.  My bad!

What a great example of a massive racist (you know, you don’t have to be white to be a racist!)  I wonder what would have happened if some white dude said that white people should kill some black people.  It already happens – all of us white dudes look down on the White Power and KKK garbage.  They are all racist rednecks.

Mr. Shabazz, er, sorry, KING Shabazz has every right to spout his hateful rhetoric, just like all the racist white dudes.  This is America, if you want to hate your brother for the color of his skin, that is allowed.  No crime there.  I don’t agree with that thinking, but there is not a crime there.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Racists in SEIU – No Kidding!

Here in St. Louis we have witnessed the racism displayed (on video) by members of the SEIU union. We now have a SEIU Vice President indicating the same type of things from the white members. The actual term he uses is “white union members are so f***ing rabidly racist.” How nice.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

I Confess, I’m in the Tea Party Cult

I honestly didn’t realize I was in a cult.  I guess in addition to the fact that I’m supposedly a racist and a homophobe (yes, I’ve been called both for some reason), I’m also in the Tea Party Cult (or Teabagger if you choose to use the sexual term coined by the wacknut left.)

Bill Maher had dubbed those who oppose taxes and growing the government who decide to attend a Tea Party protest are not really in a movement, but are a part of a cult.  I found that really interesting since I went to one of the first Tea Party events held in St. Louis last February (and brought my kids) along with one held on April 15, 2009. Actually, I never thought that I was in a movement but rather concerned about the out of control spending from not only the left, but also the right.

I didn’t realize my taxes have gone down.  I must have missed this one, but I do live in the Socialist Republic of Illinois so maybe this doesn’t apply to me.  I suppose we’ll feel the real pinch when the Bush tax cuts expire next year.  Ouch!

From NewsBusters:

The teabaggers, they’re not a movement. They’re a cult, and I’m going to prove it. You know someone has fallen into a cult if you see these signs: One. Cults have their own vocabulary. Now, I don’t speak sh**kicker, but I know that in their world, freedom means guns, diplomacy means weakness, elitist means reader, and socialist means black.

Two. Cults tend to populate from within.encouraging members to have huge broods of children and to give them strange names, like Moonbeam, and Trig.

And three, cult members always attribute all of their problems to one simple explanation: [picture of Obama with Hitler moustache].

Well there you have it.  Me: Illiterate Racist Hick, Unabashed Homophobe & Cult Member.

Attention Teabagger Cultists: I have received word from above that the great Tea Bag is coming back to take all the good Tea Baggers back to Hickland to live eternity shooting guns, chewing tobacco and smashing things with Monster Trucks.  Sounds like a blast!  Hooo Weee.  See you there.

Of course, that is just my opinion.

Isn’t All Crime a Hate Crime?

obamasigningToday, President Obama signed into law the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act.  This bill was buried in the Defense Appropriations bill.

A logical American, or any breathing human being for that matter, would wonder why this was not pushed forward on its own merits.  Why was this buried in a $680 billion defense appropriations bill?   I’ll tell you why, it would have never passed otherwise.

From the USA Today:

The new law basically expands existing hate-crime protections to outlaw attacks based on sexual orientation or gender, in addition to race, color, religion or national origin.

In a later ceremony devoted to the new law, Obama told supporters, “No one in America should ever be afraid to walk down the street holding the hand of the person they love.” He cited statistics that in these past 10 years, there have been more than 12,000 hate crimes based on sexual orientation.

“We will never know how many incidents were never reported at all,” Obama said.

Opponents called the hate-crimes bill unnecessary, noting that Shepard’s and Byrd’s attackers were convicted in state criminal courts. Some critics objected to the inclusion of hate-crimes legislation in a defense budget bill.

“The president has used his position as commander-in-chief to advance a radical social agenda, when he should have used it to advance legislation that would unequivocally support our troops,” said U.S. Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., chairman of the House Republican Conference.

Pence also argued that the law could be used to curb free speech rights, such as with religions that consider homosexuality a sin.

According to an AP story, “The hate crimes measure came as part of legislation (defense appropriation bill) that Obama also touted for other reasons: a crackdown on careless military spending.”   How about just cutting down on that spending the normal way and not including unnecessary legislation unrelated to a bill meant to fund the military efforts?  I realize this is the way things are done in Washington, but isn’t that part of the problem?

The last time I checked hate was hate no matter what the person looks like or his sexual orientation.  A crime is a crime and tagging it with some arbitrary title is not only unnecessary but subject to interpretation by the legal system.  In other words, “I’m going to read your mind and determine if you are a racist homophobic loser.”  Ridiculous.

Scenarios: What if a Muslim kills a Christian because he is not Muslim?  What if a black man kills a white man just for being white?  What if a homosexual kills a heterosexual for not being gay?  Far fetched and idiotic maybe, but have we thought of these scenarios or just the obvious ones?  If a hate crime can be attached to the cases expressed in the various news stories why not my examples?

No good can come from this and is a travesty to the justice system.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

I really hope this type of idiocy is a minority opinion amongst liberal politicians.

I wonder what Ms. Watson would think of a conservative leaning black American running for the highest office.

Glenn Beck Advertiser Boycott A Potential Gold Mine

beckpointingGlenn Beck has come under excruciating fire for expressing his opinion.  He has been doing this for quite some time on both radio and tv, but the left is just now catching up with him (probably because his ratings are through the roof.)  The video clip below, from Fox and Friends, gives a quick snippet of the “controversy”, but you can watch a longer clip from his show here.

From TV By The Numbers 8-26-09:

Though a little scandal might alienate advertisers, it’s pure ratings gold. Last night Glenn Beck had over 3 million viewers at 5pm, second only to O’Reilly for the night.  But, Beck had more 25-54 viewers than O’Reilly (888K to 876K).  I don’t watch or really even care about the cable news wars, but still…wow. Even though Beck airs before prime time,  when there are fewer people watching TV, he had the most 25-54 viewers in the cable news world for the night.

The most interesting point is that his guest that evening was was Rush Limbaugh so I’m sure that had something to do about the high ratings.  These ratings are of course not long term, just one night, but Becks numbers have been increasing for quite some time.   This is despite a multitude of advertisers dropping their ads from Fox News and an all out assault from the left-wing nuts.

I have always liked Glenn Beck.  He’s a little unhinged, but so am I, so I feel a kindred spirit.  I am unable to catch his show since it comes on at 4pm in the Midwest, but I occasionally catch his radio show.  I personally don’t care what the left pundits say or think about him, it won’t change my thoughts.  Sounds like millions of others don’t care about their opinions either.  Advertising follows numbers and they will trickle back as time goes on.  In this time of economic hardship, businesses can’t afford to be picky with their messenger because of a few activist groups.  The storm will pass and these linguini spined advertisers will come back in droves.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Those Darn Racist Gun Owners

My interest is always peaked when gun issues or gun talk comes up, especially on MSNBC.  A “controversy” came up with some of their reporting on protesters outside a venue President Obama was speaking at last week.   The video below depicts selective clipping on the shots cropping out the top portion of the individual (who just happened to be a black gentlemen).  The truth about the person in the video carrying the gun would have gotten in the way of their analysis that this was a racial statement – white people carrying weapons outside an Obama event.   You pasty white racist homophobe honky rednecks!!!!!

To be totally fair and balanced, clips used on Rachel Maddow’s show did pan out on the individual carrying the so-called “assault” weapon.  The ensuing conversation was of no interest to me, but I’ll give her show props since her brethren did not have nearly as much balance (or what can be construed as balance on her show).

Now I have no doubt that some in America are upset that a black man is in the white house – but this is a fringe element.  )He did, afterall, get over 50% of the vote in this hostile racist country!)  Most that are opposed to President Obama are opposed to his policies and not the color of his skin.  These guys on MSNBC are idiots, plain and simple.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Democrats Fightin’ Amongst Themselves

donkey-fightsI read this on Redstate.com and just had to repost it.  It centers around comments made by Carolyn Kilpatrick (D-Mich.) regarding the blue dog democrats opposition to a public option in the health care legislation in the house.

Kilpatrick: Public Option the Only Option for Blacks

Posted by Mark Impomeni, Thursday, July 30th at 5:30PM EDT

There’s a revealing quote buried inside Politico’s account of a revolt by liberal members of the House Democratic caucus over the deal between Rep. Henry Waxmam (D-CA) and four members of the Blue Dog Caucus. Liberals are upset that the deal effectively guts the public option in President Obama’s healthcare takeover. And as is usually the case, when liberals get upset, the truth about the contempt that they harbor for their core constituencies begins to show. How else can this comment by Rep. Carolyn Kilpatrick be explained?

At one point, Carolyn Kilpatrick (D-Mich.), a former Congressional Black Caucus chairwoman, expressed outrage that conservatives would insist on significant cuts and a weakening of the public option, arguing that many of the Blue Dogs were letting down their black constituents, who make up 25 percent to 40 percent of their voters, in some instances.”

Yeah, that’s right. Opposing the public options on cost grounds betrays blacks. Because, you know, all blacks are destined to be on the public dole, right Congresswoman?

Interesting.  Democrats fighting amongst themselves.  Sounds fine to me.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Have A Drink on Me!

beersummitMaybe I’m just a prude, but the President calling two people to the White House to have a beer so they can “get along” seems a little ridiculous and un-Presidential, especially when the “controversy” was perpetuated by Mr. Obama himself.  We all have heard his comments on the affair saying that the Cambridge Police acted “stupidly” when dealing with the incident.  Nice.  Commenting on something that involved a black individual and a cop must mean the cop is a racist, right?

If Obama would have kept his mouth shut until he actually knew ALLthe details this wouldn’t have been quite as big as it became.  The fact that he is black is immaterial.  The fact that he is an elitist Harvard Professor is immaterial.  The officer responded to a call, questioned Mr. Gates, Mr. Gates became beligerant, Mr. Gates was arrested.  Do you really think we would have heard about this if Mr. Gates was a pasty white fellow like myself?  I think not!

Well, here’s the audio of the 911 call that evening:

Call me an idiot, but I didn’t hear any racism in that call or from any of the interaction between Mr. Gates and the Police Officer that has been reported.  For crying out loud, there was a black officer present on the scene.  Don’t you think he would have raised a stink if there actually were some charge of racism?  Just a crazy thought on my part.

To the real point of this post, I don’t get the “Beer Summit” thing at the White House.  Don’t we have more pressing issues in this country?  I thought all this talk of racism was over now that we elected the first black President.  Guess not.

I can say that I would welcome an officer like Sgt. Crowley to my town.  He is calm, collected and fair minded in his approach to the situation

All I can think of…did they drink an American made beer (by and American beer company)?  Not unless it was Sam Adams.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Are You A Racist??

Evidently I am a racist according to that great prognosticator, Janeane Garofalo.   On the hardly watched Keith Olbermann Show on MSNBC, here is what she opined about all of us that attended a Tax Day Tea Party event.

I agree with my friends at The Great Illuminator – keep spewing this crazy talk. This is actually good for the cause and will incite more people to get involved. I can’t wait until the 2010 election. What a slaughter this will be. Should be good fun.

As a parting shot, Lou Dobbs had something to say about the waste of good breathable air (Ms. Garafalo).

Right on Lou! It is good that Ms. Garafalo is sent to the far reaches of the media like MSNBC and Air America. No one actually watches or listens to these programs, they just quote them in blogs.
