Rev. Wright is Obama’s Homeboy (New Evidence)

“Rev. Wright, my pastor…represents the best of what the black church has to offer.”

Really Mr. President.  I thought you barely knew him.

Very interesting.  I love the commentator – “Wonderful man there, Rev. Wright.”  Typical of the Obama machine- love ’em until a controversy erupts and then bring out the bus (to be run over with!)

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Those Darn Racist Gun Owners

My interest is always peaked when gun issues or gun talk comes up, especially on MSNBC.  A “controversy” came up with some of their reporting on protesters outside a venue President Obama was speaking at last week.   The video below depicts selective clipping on the shots cropping out the top portion of the individual (who just happened to be a black gentlemen).  The truth about the person in the video carrying the gun would have gotten in the way of their analysis that this was a racial statement – white people carrying weapons outside an Obama event.   You pasty white racist homophobe honky rednecks!!!!!

To be totally fair and balanced, clips used on Rachel Maddow’s show did pan out on the individual carrying the so-called “assault” weapon.  The ensuing conversation was of no interest to me, but I’ll give her show props since her brethren did not have nearly as much balance (or what can be construed as balance on her show).

Now I have no doubt that some in America are upset that a black man is in the white house – but this is a fringe element.  )He did, afterall, get over 50% of the vote in this hostile racist country!)  Most that are opposed to President Obama are opposed to his policies and not the color of his skin.  These guys on MSNBC are idiots, plain and simple.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Town Hall Protesters Carrying Swastikas?

Evidently I have been watching the wrong coverage of all the Town Hall meetings occurring around the country over the past couple of weeks.  Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi says that these protesters are “carrying swastikas and symbols like that…”  Really Ms. Pelosi?  Show me the signs!

I’m sure this is just like the mantra those on the left are saying about the motivations of the protesters.   They just couldn’t be average citizens, there has to be some type of organization.  Maybe there are organizations that would like to organize the unheard masses that oppose government run  , but so what?  I’ve been to several protests around my area and I’ve never been approached to attend any event – even with this right leaning website I run.  Don’t you think I might be someone that would be used to rally support – if that was really the case?  It is my opinion that the only paid protest people are the Acorn folks.

What are these guys so afraid of? They have a majority in both houses of Congress – a super majority in the Senate and the White House.  They don’t need the Republicans (in theory) to pass anything they want.  Obama, Pelosi and Reid can ram through all they want until they are voted out of their positions.

These events show the elitism of those that are complaining and a disregard for the electorate.  What do those common folks about the intricacies of health care anyway?

Of course, this is just my opinion.

The Waiter and the Homeless Man

Obama08_tieI received this email from the Don’t Tread on Me! group on Facebook. Good story – thought I would share.
Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read “Vote Obama, I need the money.” I laughed.
Once in the restaurant my server had on an “Obama ’08” tie, again I laughed–just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy the money and told him to thank the server inside as I decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

Question: How can you make your fellow man (or woman) prosperous?
Answer: There are many ways, but one way NOT to is by living off that fellow man/woman.

I have no idea if this is a fictional story, but I liked it.

Obama Health Care Reform Boondoggle

color-obama-heathc-shot-web

I keep thinking on all the Obama proposals…what is the rush?  First it was the “Stimulus” bill, then it was “Cap and Trade” and now it’s “Health Care.”  The same mantra that is rolled out is that we have to do it or else!  Or else what?  Reduced care to the masses?    I think not.  Higher costs to the actual taxpayers?  I think so.

From the televised speech last night:

“If you don’t set deadlines in this town, things don’t happen. The default position is inertia,” the president said, singling out his critics for playing political “games” with health care reform.

Reform is critical for rebuilding the economy and controlling the deficit, Obama argued. But with momentum slowing considerably in the effort to reach a deal on time, the president conceded that he wants to “do this right” and said he wouldn’t sign a bill that doesn’t achieve key objectives like reducing costs.

At the news conference, called to rally support for health care reform, Obama acknowledged that Americans are “understandably queasy” about debt and deficits — and the impact health care reform would have on both.

Obama used the news conference to try to put skeptics at ease, both inside and outside the Beltway. He said health care reform would not only improve the quality of care they receive at reduced cost but in the long run actually rein in spiraling deficits and debt.

“If we do not control these (health care) costs, we will not be able to control our deficit,” he said.

He rejected the notion that his administration only wants to “spend and spend.” In an odd boast, the president said his administration has already reduced the 10-year deficit projection from $9.3 trillion to $7.1 trillion.

Reduce deficits huh?  The GOP House Ways and Means Committee has come up with their own figures and it projects the costs out past the Obama presidency (presumed to be 8 years) and past the natural lives of most of Congress:

gop_heathcarecosts_7-09

  • According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the Democrats’ health care proposal includes over $1 trillion in new spending between now and 2019.

  • The plan includes more than $820 billion in job-killing tax increases on small businesses and families making as little as $18,700 per year over the next decade.

  • But even these massive new taxes aren’t enough to pay for the Democrats’ plan.

  • CBO found the Democrats’ plan will increase the federal deficit by $239 billion over the next 10 years.  What the Democrats don’t tell you is that the bill is not fully implemented until 2015, hiding the true costs and deficit impact of this government takeover of health care.

  • CBO also confirmed that the Democrats’ rate of spending will lead to “a substantial hole that would need to be filled by the other provisions if the overall legislation were to be deficit neutral at the end of the 10-year window and into the following decade.”As the graph below shows,if the Democrats’ health care spending continues at those rates, it could cause a massive spike in the federal deficit – reaching as high as $1.6 trillion over the next 20 years.

Here’s a chart that the GOP came up with to outline the democratic plan for the “reform” of the health care system:

GOPDemHealthChart

OK, to be totally fair, here is the democratic chart (the original one).

Do we need reform?  I would say yes, but a government option is not the right answer.  Just look to Medicare and Medicaid for the answer of whether Uncle Sam can administer an adequate health care option.   Taking more time to actually draft a good option – outside of total government control – should be the goal of our lawmakers.  I won’t hold my breath on that one.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Obama is Not Lovin’ on the Teleprompter

barack_obama_ummAs much as I dislike President Obama, this is really hard to watch.  This video came from a Town Hall meeting in Bristol, VA.  Maybe the breathalyzer should be done on the POTUS.

And they gave President Bush a hard time.

Enjoy.

Obama on an Italian Booty Call?

obamagirlbuttYou can make up your own mind on this one.  Did he or didn’t he look at the butt?

Personally, I don’t care.  Looks like he did, but it’s easy to catch something that is or is not there by freeze-frame.  Just check out the look French President Nicolas Sarkozy.  Kind of looks like they both are a-lookin’.  I don’t blame them.

Of course, this is just my opinion.
