Keith Olbermann: The Worst Person in the World

OK, maybe he’s not the worst, but probably one of the most idiodic.

If you don’t watch MSNBC, and by the horrendous ratings not many do, you might not know that Keith Olbermann has a feature on his show called “The Worst Person in the World.” This segment highlights the three of the worst people in the world (hence the title) according to Mr. Olbermann. It varies by the day from Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, etc., etc., you get the point. (I actually think that Keith has a secret crush on Glenn Beck by all the attention he pays his show – just pure speculation on my part.)

This particular day Rep. Wally Herger (R) from California served as Olbermann’s whipping boy. During one of Rep. Herger’s town hall meetings a gentleman came to the microphone and mentioned several things as well as admitting to being a  “Right-wing terrorist.” Now you can judge for yourself, but he was obviously speaking tounge-in-cheek or as we like to call it Keith, he was being sarcastic. Evidently Keith didn’t get the memo.

I’m not really that surprised that Mr. Olbermann took the statement from Mr. Stead the way he did – that’s the premise of his show and his paycheck.  The loony left that tunes into the MSNBC trifecta (Hardball, Olbermann and Maddow) would expect nothing less.

To the credit of Rep. Herger, he has not backed down from his original statement:

From a statement from the Congressman’s Office:

Congressman Herger stands by his statement in support of his constituent. Mr. Bert Stead is a taxpayer and veteran, who, like so many others, is rightfully fed up with being called “un-American”, or “extremist” or a “political terrorist” by liberals in Washington, for simply exercising his First Amendment rights. Mr. Stead served his country and therefore he is a great American. The Congressman doesn’t at all regret commending him for standing up, exercising his free speech rights, and expressing his strong concerns with the direction liberals in Washington are taking our country.

Nuff said.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Is Russ Carnahan Really This Stupid?

The Health Care debate has definitely heated up over the congressional recess.  St. Louis has become a hot bed of activity since the beating of a conservative at a recent event by members of the SEIU union that attended the event in support of Rep. Carnahan.  One blog called these guys Union Thugs, I think I agree with that sentiment.

On Friday of this week, Jamie Allman, a local morning talk show host from 97.1 FM Talk, attended a secret press conference where Rep. Carnahan blamed the right-wing extremists for causing problems at his Town Hall event.  When pressed by Mr. Allman, Rep. Carnahan had no real answers and slinked back into political mode.  I actually thought Rodney King was going to pop up and shout, “Can’t we all just get along?”

From The Gateway Pundit:

Carnahan first claimed that the SEIU members may not have beenhis supporters.  Carnahan announced this morning that the GOP was behind the violence.  He also accused Minority Leader John Boehner of instigating the violence(?)

So Rep. Carnahan, you have no idea that a man, a black man, was beaten by the SEIU “Security Force” that you brought in to “control” the unruly crowd.  Are you blind or just plain stupid.  I wonder what would have happened if there were conservatives beating a black member of the SEIU – or any other citizen.  I’ll tell you what would happen, it would be on every newspaper from here to Oxnard.  As it stood on Friday, they had to have a “secret” press conference.

My only regret is I don’t live in your district so I have no say-so in your demise.

Of course, this is just my opinion
